Sapphire Technical Solutions is ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited.

What does this means for our customers?

If your lab is accredited, then you have probably received a non-compliance during an audit because you used a non-accredited source to calibrate your photometry equipment because there were no accredited sources available – until now.
If your organization is required to comply with an external standard such as ISO/TS 16949, which requires external laboratories used for inspection, test or calibration to have a defined scope which includes the capability to perform the required inspection, test or calibration and either;
– have evidence that the external lab is acceptable to your organization, or;
– be accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 or national equivalent.
In the instances where there were no accredited laboratories to perform specific equipment calibrations, a loop hole was written in to allow organizations to use the equipment manufacture.
Sapphire Technical Solutions has worked to develop our scope (http://ts.nist.gov/standards/scopes/2008620.pdf) based on customer needs, so we can be an accredited source for the calibration of your equipment. We will continually work to expand our scope to meet our customer requirements.

Our #1 priority at Sapphire Technical Solutions is Customer Satisfaction. When you plan to send equipment to us for calibration, we encourage you to call our Lab Manager to schedule the arrival of your equipment in order for us to provide the best turn around time possible.

The accreditation has been issued by the accrediting body NVLAP (National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program) which is operated by N.I.S.T. (National Institute of Standards and Technologies).

Why NVLAP?

We chose NVLAP due to their association with N.I.S.T. We purchase many of our calibration standards directly from N.I.S.T. and felt that the assessors available to NVLAP would have a more thorough understanding of the items outlined in our scope.
NVLAP has entered into Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs) or Multilateral Recognition Arrangements (MLAs) with the following organizations: The International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), The Asia Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC), The InterAmerican Accreditation Cooperation (IAAC).
Any Accrediting Bodies which have entered the MRAs/MLAs (A2LA, ACLASS, IAS, PJLA, L-A-B, etc…) accept the accreditations granted by other signatory partner Accrediting Bodies. To see a list of Accrediting Bodies which have entered the MRAs/MLAs go to the following website http://ts.nist.gov/standards/accreditation/index.cfmand select the Mutual Recognition Arrangements link listed under Documents and Resources.
