michael piscitelli, CEO
Michael Piscitelli is a seasoned technology leader with more than 30 years of experience driving innovation in the automotive and aerospace sectors. An Electronics Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, he has led the development of advanced electronics and software photometric testing systems for top-tier lighting manufacturers across the United States and internationally.
Recognized for his industry expertise, Michael serves as Vice Chair of the SAE International Cooperation Committee and is the sponsor of the SAE J1330 Photometric Laboratory Accuracy Document. He also plays an active role on multiple SAE committees and task forces shaping the future of J‑series standards. His strategic leadership and longstanding commitment to technical excellence continue to influence the evolution of photometric technology and global industry practices.

cindy mcguffin, business director
Cindy joined the STS team in January 2009. She holds a BS/BA from West Virginia University and earned her CPA certification in both West Virginia and North Carolina. While Cindy has experience in public accounting, the majority of her career has been rooted in small‑business management, where she developed a strong foundation in financial oversight, operations, and strategic leadership. In her role as Business Director, she leads the company’s business development and sales efforts, driving growth through client relationships, market strategy, and expanded service opportunities.

Drew Brown, director of operations
Drew Brown is the Director of Operations at STS. He oversees our inventory management, project management and assemblies. He is responsible for internal optimizations and identifying efficiency gains within our internal and customer-facing systems.
Danny hoffman, Lab manager
Danny Hoffman is the Laboratory Manager. After graduating York Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. Danny served in numerous positions including field service, technical support, quality control, and Technical Operations Manager. He is actively involved in various SAE Ground Lighting Committees. Danny is passionate about lighting and working with you for your ISO/IEC 17025 accredited photometric and radiometric equipment calibration and lighting systems compliance testing needs.
